Fraud Prevention & Legal Notice
Effective Date: 19 September 2026
At GrabMyThing, we are committed to providing a safe, fair, and transparent shopping experience for our customers. We also take fraudulent activities, false claims, misuse of our policies, and intentional abuse of our services seriously.
By placing an order with GrabMyThing, customers agree to provide accurate information and use our website, payment services, delivery services, and return/refund facilities honestly and lawfully.
1. Fraudulent Payment Proof
Customers must not provide false, altered, edited, fabricated, or otherwise misleading payment screenshots or transaction details.
For example, submitting a fake PhonePe, Google Pay, Paytm, bank transfer, UPI, or other payment screenshot in an attempt to obtain products without making a genuine payment may be treated as fraudulent activity.
GrabMyThing will verify payments through our payment gateway, bank account, or other applicable payment records. A screenshot or customer-provided payment proof alone does not constitute confirmation of payment.
2. Product Replacement or Product Swapping
Customers must not return a product that is different from the product originally delivered by GrabMyThing.
This includes, but is not limited to:
-
Returning a different product
-
Returning a used or damaged product while claiming it was received in that condition
-
Removing or replacing product components
-
Returning an old or previously owned item
-
Removing tags, labels, packaging, or identifying marks and attempting to return another item
-
Returning an item purchased from another seller
-
Deliberately sending an incorrect or unrelated product
Where appropriate, GrabMyThing may record product details, packaging information, serial numbers, barcodes, batch numbers, product identifiers, photographs, or videos for verification purposes.
3. False Damage, Missing Product or Wrong Product Claims
Customers must not knowingly make false claims that:
-
A product was damaged when it was not
-
A product was missing from the package when it was delivered
-
A different product was delivered when the correct product was delivered
-
An order was never received when it was delivered
-
A product was defective when the customer caused the damage
Where necessary, GrabMyThing may investigate such claims using available order records, courier information, shipment records, packaging information, photographs, videos, and other relevant evidence.
4. Misuse of Returns and Refunds
Our return and refund facilities are provided for genuine customer issues and must not be intentionally abused.
Repeated or fraudulent return/refund requests, false claims, intentional product damage, product swapping, or other misuse may result in:
-
Rejection of the return or refund request
-
Cancellation of pending orders
-
Suspension or restriction of access to our services
-
Refusal of future orders where legally permissible
-
Recovery of products, costs, or losses where applicable
-
Further investigation and appropriate legal action where warranted
5. Chargebacks and Payment Disputes
Customers should contact GrabMyThing regarding genuine order or payment issues before initiating a payment dispute or chargeback.
Knowingly filing a false payment dispute or falsely claiming that an order was not received, a payment was not authorized, or a product was not delivered may be investigated and contested using relevant transaction, order, delivery, and communication records.
6. Evidence and Verification
To protect both customers and GrabMyThing, we may maintain appropriate records relating to orders and returns, including:
-
Order information
-
Payment and transaction records
-
Courier and delivery information
-
Return shipment information
-
Product identifiers
-
Packaging details
-
Customer communications
-
Photographs or videos submitted by customers
-
Photographs or videos recorded during applicable packing, dispatch, or return verification processes
Such records may be used to investigate disputes, fraudulent activity, and policy violations.
7. Legal Action
If GrabMyThing reasonably believes that an individual has intentionally engaged in fraud, deception, theft, payment fraud, impersonation, falsification of documents or payment evidence, product swapping, or other unlawful activity, we reserve the right to take appropriate action available under applicable law.
This may include reporting suspected unlawful activity to the relevant authorities and providing relevant records or evidence when legally appropriate or required.
Nothing in this notice limits any rights or remedies available to GrabMyThing under applicable law.
8. Customer Responsibility
Customers are responsible for ensuring that all information provided to GrabMyThing is truthful and accurate.
By using our website and placing an order, you agree not to intentionally misuse our payment, shipping, return, refund, replacement, or customer-support processes.
9. Genuine Customer Issues
This notice is intended to prevent fraud and protect both customers and GrabMyThing. Genuine customers who receive a damaged, defective, incorrect, incomplete, or otherwise problematic order should contact us through our official customer-support channels.
We will review genuine complaints fairly and in accordance with our applicable policies.
